- Choreography and performance art studio Practice: engaging with post-structural research in studio practice and performance, through live contexts and video
- Writing through performance studies, cultural studies and performative theory in relation to choreographic and performance art contexts
- Interdisciplinary studio practice methodology in relation to performance, installation, time-based media and visual arts perspectives
- Writing in the area of pedagogical philosophy in relation to choreography, performance art and related practices
Current research
Engaged in a PhD at Auckland University of Technology in the School of Art and Design, on 'the performance of acceptability through performance practice'. The research is 50% practice based in performance art, with the remainder a theoretical investigation through the perspective of performativity and performance art.
